pen & ink

My favorite way to draw is with a dip pen and a bottle of ink. It's the way I've worked for years and is natural for me. When there's not enough time for setup and cleanup of the traditional dip pen, I use Copic Multiliner or Sakura Micron pens. When I'm out of the studio, my go to pens are Fine Sharpies, Ultra Fine Sharpies, and Pilot G-2 gel pens (.10, .07, .05, and .038).
